The Botox Process

Consultation
First, you schedule an appointment with one of our experienced injectors. They take the time to talk with you one-on-one, learning about your aesthetic concerns and asking you about your medical history. They also conduct a skin examination to determine what type of wrinkles you have. This helps them match you with Botox near Mountain Lakes, NJ, or another wrinkle treatment.

This causes damage to the collagen and elastin fibers in our skin, but those 2 proteins that keep our skin flexible and smooth.
Botox does not reduce static wrinkles, but we can still treat them. Instead, your provider may recommend fillers to restore volume to your skin and increase your body’s natural production of collagen and elastin.
Dysport
While Botox often comes to mind first, multiple other injectables use Botulinum A—including Dysport. This wrinkle relaxer also limits muscle movement, but a different protein in Dysport allows the product to spread further into the muscle, so the effects target a wider area. Dysport also develops results within 10 days and lasts 3 to 4 months.
How should I choose the right wrinkle relaxer?

While that may not sound like the best thing, it actually works well for first-time users to use less potent products. Like with any substance that you regularly get exposed to, your body can develop tolerance to wrinkle relaxers. This means that over time, your body gets used to the formula, and it becomes less and less effective.
So for first-time users, we don’t usually start with Botox near Mountain Lakes unless they have more severe wrinkles. For first-time users with mild-to-moderate wrinkles, we typically like to begin with Dysport.
